Your hike begins diagonally opposite the yellow boat landing stage. Behind a water shed, the trail leads up a somewhat steeper ascent to the "Erlebnis-Moselkrampen" hiking trail. The start is located above Beilstein in the vineyards. From there, you can once again enjoy a wonderful view of the "Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle". This adventure hiking trail winds its way through vineyards and shady forest to Bruttig-Fankel. This is where the next section of your hike begins...

The Breva hiking trail starts in Bruttig at the Moselle bridge and is very well signposted. It was painstakingly created on the initiative of the local winegrowers. After a steep ascent, you can enjoy the rewarding view of the Moselle. This path also winds its way sometimes uphill, sometimes downhill through the steep vineyard slopes to Valwig. If you still have breath and stamina left, you can continue along the "Apollo Trail", which takes you to Cochem-Cond. If you are lucky, you will see the Apollo butterfly, a protected species, on the way. Once there, cross the "Old Moselle Bridge", from where you can already see the landing stages.

The boats take you daily from Cochem to Beilstein and back to the starting point of your hike. The departures from Cochem in the direction of Beilstein are at 12 p.m., 1.30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4.15 p.m. The trip duration is approx. 1 hour including a trip through the locks. On the boat is the right time to relax and enjoy a good sip of Moselle wine. All our boats have catering facilities.
